(It just by coincidence that the photos above only feature ladies. There are men in my family and in my circle of friends, fyi)
My family is small and close. I really only have contact with my mother’s side of the family these days, and I love them all dearly.
I don’t get to see them except for this time of year as we are all scattered. However, I am lucky that my mom, her partner, my brother and his family all live here (even though we were all in Mississippi up until a few years ago).
My family has grown quite a bit since marrying Mr. LL. He comes from a very big and mostly Italian family. I’m still getting to know them all, but so far I really enjoy most of his family. I say most because I just haven’t met them all! Or…remember meeting them all. I need flash cards.
My friends are the family I’ve hand picked. My core group of friends don’t even live in the same state as me, but I wouldn’t trade them in for anything! They are all creative, funny, smart and wonderful people. Everyone is laid back and non-competitive and that is the kind of friendship everyone should have in their life.
So, thank you my family and friends. I am grateful to have all of you in my life.
I have yesterday’s Sunday Comics to post later today. I never got around to finishing it up this weekend. We had life come crashing down on us in the Lazy Lady household. Mr. LL is dealing with some family health troubles and a whole bevy of complications that are arising from it. All of that (we found out Saturday night) has kind of put everything else on hold.
I’ve been trying to comfort him the best I can, but I can’t take the weight from his shoulders, as much as I wish I could. So, I haven’t gotten around to blogging or even grocery shopping and cleaning the apartment (my normal weekend tasks). So, bare with me, folks. It’s going to be a hell of a couple of weeks.
Oh, and did I mention that my car has to go into the shop? Yeah.

Also, it was good month for my contribution over at Part Time Monster. I never got around to linking it here this month, but you should go check out my review of Small World!
A photographer and her daughter collaborate on the series Picture Me, Picture You.
Over at Part-Time Monster, Diana posted this AWESOME cover of Lorde’s Royals by Puddles Pity Party. (Warning: Clown)
People used to send super creepy Valentine’s Day cards to each other.
If you had to illustrate the female orgasm, in the abstract sense, would it look like this 1940’s representation?
