Follow Friday: Frocks and Frou Frou

This is a weekly post in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

This week, I am recommending Frocks & Frou Frou! This is my ultimate, all time favorite fashion blog. It is the fashion blog that got me interested in following fashion blogs.

Frocks and Frou Frou is written by Lilli, who lives in Australia. I love her adorable outfits and look forward to this blog’s posts every single day.

I love her Lust Lists.

Follow Friday: The House that Lars Built

My new weekly post, Follow Friday, in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

This week, I am recommending The House that Lars Built! This is a lovely blog and I find myself getting lost in the fairy world that Brittany Watson Jepson must live in to write the posts featured on this blog.

Brittany’s “About” page is just too much to sum up. You should head over to it and get to know a little about this amazing lady.

This blog is full of artistic posts and DIYs. I love the “This Girl” series especially. I’ve gathered some of my favorite posts, and they are (I feel) representative of the great variety her blog has to offer.

Follow Friday: Witchy Words

My new weekly post, Follow Friday, in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

[via Witchy Words]

This week, I am recommending Witchy Words! I love this blog and all the wisdom and just interesting posts Marietta posts on it. I found it a long time ago while looking for more modern representations of the pagan lifestyle and practices. I even nominated her for the ABC and Sunshine awards; you can read her acceptance post here.

You can see in her own bio above that Marietta is an illustrator, animal lover and a pagan. She also takes some really nice photography for her blog and I really enjoy her Progressive Planner posts. She actually had two blogs, Witchy Words and Progressive Planner, but she has since combined the two.

I’ve gathered some of my favorite posts, and they are (I feel) representative of the great variety her blog has to offer.

Here you can find all the Progressive Planner posts on the Witchy Words blog [image via Witchy Words].

Right now, Marietta is asking for help to raise money to pay for her pets’ vet bills and in turn help them move out of the apartment that has been making them sick. You can click here to check out her gofundme page and read more. [image via Witchy Words]

Follow Friday: Nubby Twiglet

My new weekly post, Follow Friday, in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

Nubby Twiglet

This week, I am recommending Nubby Twiglet. Years and years ago, when a coworker suggested this blog to me, I was not having it. I thought the name was done and that she was pretentious. Why I thought any of this, I have no recollection (although it is a silly name, IMO). I LOVE this blog. It is written and designed by Shauna Haider. She is a woman who wears many hats.

Shauna’s message from her “About” page:

Hello! My name is Shauna Haider and I am a creative director, teacher and blogger residing in Portland, Oregon. Madly in love with blogging since 2001, I have a passion for sharing insights about design, personal style and the city I call home. Beneath the surface of the tightly curated visuals that fill my posts (I own a boutique design studio) is a message focused on embracing individuality. I encourage my audience to own their unique quirks and live a life that rings true to their personal style and values. My blog is a reminder that we can live beautifully designed lives without becoming slaves to the nonstop cycle of fads and trends.

Also, I wanted to share her “Manifesto” from her “About” page, as well:

Are you a creative who’s passionate about the aesthetics in your daily life? Does design play an integral role in your personal expression? Then you’ve come to the right place. Nubby Twiglet was founded in 2007 under the guise that we should embrace our individuality in order to live a unique, inspired existence. As creatives, our lives are multi-faceted and expression ruminates from everywhere including our surroundings, careers and travels. Why should we separate our lives into bite-sized pieces when we can live it as one, inspiring whole? Come as you are, take charge and embrace a lifestyle that leaves you personally fulfilled.

I got the idea for my Link Love posts from her blog. She does it way better than I do. Also, as a graphic designer, I love the design and the guidance Shauna shares on her blog.

I’ve gathered some of my favorite posts, and they are (I feel) representative of the great variety her blog has to offer.

Follow Friday: The Lonely D12

My new weekly post, Follow Friday, in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

This week, I am recommending The Lonely D12! This blog is fairly new to my subscriptions. I discovered it via a comment on one of my tabletop game reviews over at Part-Time Monster. One of the writers for this collaborative blog commented on my King of Tokyo post and I checked out the blog. I’ve been hooked ever since and it is now one of my all-time favorite blogs.

There are four writers for The Lonely D12. Jamie, John, Luke and Ric. Check out their indvidual “About” pages by clicking on the links. Here is the blurb from the overall blog’s “About” page:

The Lonely D12 was conceived under the notion that table top RPG gamers needed a place to find resources and content for their games. That GMs may need advice, a laugh or reassurance that it is not only their game that is going up in flames.

We are striving to be a resource for nerdy people who want to share what they love about RPGs. A place where beginning players and GMs can find support from experienced players and everyone can cultivate new ideas of how to take over the world… or become a great supportive community.

I’ve gathered some of my favorite posts, and I hope you find them as great as I do.

via The Dainty Squid

This week, I am recommending The Dainty Squid! This is one of my all-time favorite blogs, and has been a huge inspiration to me as a blogger. It is run by the beautiful and quirky Kaylah.

via The Dainty Squid

Kaylah is a full time blogger. I am completely jealous of her hair and its ever-changing hues. She takes amazing photos and I just love following the bits of her life she chooses to share about her life. Her blog covers photography, nail art, hair, outfits, her collections and curiosities, urban exploration and nature. It’s definitely a lifestyle blog, and her lifestyle is one I dream about.

I’ve gathered some of my favorite posts, and they are (I feel) representative of the great variety her blog has to offer.

Follow Friday: Sourcerer Blog

My new weekly post, Follow Friday, in which I share a blog that I personally subscribe to and I want to recommend to you!

This week, I am recommending Sourcerer Blog! It is a collective blog, run by Gene’O from The Writing Catalog. Part Time Monster is a member of the Sourcerer family.

Gene’O

I don’t really know how to describe Sourcerer. It is so many posts by so many authors, on so many different topics, but it’s all really great stuff! Here’s from the blog’s “About” page:

Sourcerer, a blog about television, literature, gaming, the social sciences, and other geeky stuff managed by Gene’O. Sourcerer is also designed to be a collaborative blog. We began publishing the work of contributors in January, 2014.

I couldn’t sum it up better. I’m going to post a series of links to some of my favorite, recent-ish posts for you. You should definitely go check them out!
