Pork Chops and Grits

open package; put in microwave; heat; eat

TGF made dinner a few nights ago. He cooked up some pork chops in a pan, boiled some corn on the cob and made a few packets of instant cheddar cheese grits. Nothing fancy but totally tasty. Growing up, every New Year’s Day my mom would make pork chops for luck, black eyed peas for luck (with a clean dime in them, the finder getting more luck), a salad (because I REFUSED to eat mustard greens) for wealth and garlic cheese grits…because they taste good. Since then, I’ve always thought cheese grits go great with pork chops. Heck, I bet they taste great with just about anything.
